Matte finish carbon fiber sheets are sheets or panels made from carbon fiber composite materials that have a matte, non-reflective surface. Carbon fiber is a lightweight and exceptionally strong material that is commonly used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, and more. The finish on carbon fiber sheets can be customized to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements.
The carbon fiber sheet is semi-flexible, yet remains stiff like cardstock. It can bend in only one direction at a time making it suitable for either flat surfaces or pipes. Once cured, these sheets cannot be re-shaped. Therefore they will not lie flat on compound curves, convex, or concave surfaces. One side features our recognized high gloss finish while available options for the opposite side include a high gloss, matte, or adhesive-backed finish.
Our proprietary Autoclave curing process produces the most consistent and highest-quality gloss carbon fiber sheets possible. Manufactured using 100% real carbon fiber fabric pre-impregnated with high-quality epoxy resin, these sheets are cured at high temperatures and pressure to ensure a strong, rigid product that cannot be re-shaped after being cured. Unlike a wet layup, our Autoclave curing process consistently yields flat, lightweight sheets with minimal voids, waves, or buildups.
A matte finish on carbon fiber sheets has several advantages:
- Aesthetic Appeal: Matte finishes provide a subdued, elegant appearance that is preferred by many in applications like automotive parts, consumer electronics, and sports equipment.
